About Us
Our eleven libraries throughout Alberta are located in courthouses in the Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Drumheller, Peace River, St. Paul and Wetaskiwin Queen’s Bench Judicial Districts.
With a mission to facilitate access to legal information for all Albertans, our vision is to be a model of excellence in the provision of legal information services. We pursue our mission and vision in four ways
- by selecting, acquiring, preserving and providing access to a wide range of print and electronic legal information resources relevant to the needs of our clients
- by providing exceptional services that anticipate and support the legal information needs of our clients, both in our libraries and at remote locations
- by implementing and optimising information technology based on client needs and expectations to deliver a wide array of information resources and services, and
- by strategically managing the libraries in an effective and efficient manner through refining organisational structures and processes, building financial strengths, providing an optimum physical environment, and ensuring a work environment that promotes staff innovation, development and commitment to excellence.
