E-Resources

To augment and enhance our print collections, our libraries subscribe to a growing selection of online legal research resources that support provincial, federal and international legal research. Types of electronic resources include legislation, case law, digests, texts and journals.

Many of these databases are freely accessible at public computers in our libraries; all are accessible through our staff. The use of these online resources is governed by copyright law and by the terms of license agreements between Alberta Law Society Libraries and database publishers; these conditions can be found in the summary of each database on this web page.

Under Selected Websites, our staff has evaluated and organised collections of legal resources freely available on the Internet.

ALLI-CAT, our online catalogue, provides access to the most current information on our collections and can be searched by author, title, subject, keyword and call number. The catalogue also provides links to electronic resources, holdings of e-journals and tables of content for continuing legal education publications.
